Acharya award for Fr Varghese Kalloparambil

KOTTAYAM: Fr V.M.Varghese Kalooparambil, 80, founder-principal of St Peter's
College, Kolencherry, and Mar Athanasios College, Kothamangalam,
founder-secretary of Baselios College, Kottayam, and founder-secretary of
YMCA, Pallom, has been selected for the Acharya award, instituted by the Dr
K.M.Tharakan Foundation.

The award carries Rs 5,001 and a scroll of honour.

Foundation secretary Baby M.Varghese and organising committee convener Prof
P.C.Elias said here today the award would be presented to the Fr Varghese at
a function to be held at Good Shepherd Public School, Thengana,
Changanaserry, at 2 p.m. on October 9.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will present the award. Malayala Manorama Chief
Editor K.M.Mathew will preside over the function.

I would suggest anaacharya or durachaarya. These people call their
bibble or babble, the veda and the priest Iyer! Now acharya. Then guru
and then they take over Ganesha festival and substitute Jesus with an
elephant face on the cross! Son of God crucified! They took over the
pagan festival at equinox and called it christmas in Dec. The mistle
toe became a part of xtian symbol etc etc. They have no originality
nor virginality.
